Questionnaire analysis
After researching and producing a questionnaire, there are
many results that need to be taken into account. With the results that I received
it was apparent that 55% of the results came from females and the other 45%
came from males therefore this shows that perhaps females may be more
interested than males about a college magazine. When asking whether students
would be willing to pay for a magazine only 30% said that they would. Therefore
this means that a college magazine should either be free or no more than 50p so
that people will be willing to buy and read the magazine. When asking students
what would encourage them to by a magazine there were various things that popped
up for example:
·
Free stuff
·
Music
·
College information
·
Vouchers
As 80% of students who answered the questionnaire said that
they check their college emails regularly, it may seem that by reminding
students that the magazine is going to be out may encourage them to buy it. When
finding out how often students would like a magazine to be issued 50% said that
they would like to have one out every month and 25% of students who responded
stated that they would be willing to make a contribution to the magazine.
Things that came up when asking what students would like to
see in the magazine are:
·
Film reviews
·
Music
·
Interviews
·
Sport
·
Café menu
·
Events
·
Trips
·
College information
·
Politics
·
Gossip
·
Picture
With this information there were
some topics that were more popular than others which were music, sports events trips
and gossip. With the addition that students want the college magazine cover to
be bright and colourful containing pictures of students that are taken by
students.
As 100% of responses said that
they do not currently read the college magazine this shows that the current
magazine is not working. This however could be a result of them not doing it
right or having the correct information in it.
